2026 Event Summary

“WISH to Cultivate: Innovation, Inclusion, and a Healthier Future” brought together students, educators, researchers, healthcare professionals, and community leaders for UConn Waterbury’s 2026 WISHfest, a day dedicated to exploring the connections between innovation, inclusion, and community well-being. Hosted in partnership with the City of Waterbury and Waterbury Public Schools, the event featured inspiring speakers, interactive exhibits, hands-on STEM activities, career exploration opportunities, and engaging discussions focused on health, sustainability, creativity, and belonging. Through student showcases, experiential learning opportunities, and collaborations with community partners, WISHfest 2026 fostered curiosity, celebrated diverse perspectives, and empowered attendees to imagine and help create a healthier, more innovative, and inclusive future.
