“WISH for Our Tomorrow: Fostering Diversity for a Creative Future” brought together students, educators, researchers, and community leaders for UConn Waterbury’s 2024 WISHfest, a day dedicated to innovation, sustainability, health, and inclusion. Hosted in partnership with the City of Waterbury and Waterbury Public Schools, the event featured inspiring keynote speakers, interactive exhibits, hands-on STEM activities, career exploration opportunities, and conversations centered on neurodiversity, creativity, and community impact. From virtual reality healthcare simulations and brain science demonstrations to student showcases and live performances, WISHfest 2024 created an engaging environment that encouraged curiosity, celebrated diverse perspectives, and inspired attendees to imagine new possibilities for the future.
